DROP Archaeology

DROP (Discover Roman Otford Project) formed the subject of my very first blog: a Q & A with Kevin Fromings, the archaeologist who is leading this fascinating project.

DROP was formed in 2015 to investigate a large Roman villa at the head of the Darent Valley, in north-west Kent. Other known villas nearby include Progress Villa (a beautiful wall-painting and Latin inscription from here are on display at the British Museum) and Lullingstone Roman Villa.
